Our cast iron fireplaces are available in an exciting and wide range of both wood and multi fuel models.

(Multi fuel can be either coal, wood or anthracite or a combination of any of these fuels).

There is nothing quite the same as heating your home with a slow combustion cast iron free standing stove. It provides three times more heat than a conventional open fire place while using a third less fuel. Not only does the ritual of loading a stove give a greater sense of achievement and satisfaction; it provides warmth that no other energy source can equal.

Although Invincible units are priced considerably lower than similar European and Scandinavian models, they are not in any way inferior as far as performance and durability is concerned. Invincible units are solidly made cast iron stoves and  do in fact carry the same guarantee of 10 years on the main body of the fireplace as more expensive models do.

FIREPLACE CAPACITY

Fireplace capacity is expressed in kilowatt heat output (kw)

Under normal South African winter conditions 1 kw has the capacity to heat up a volume of approximately 20 cubic meters .

This value will decrease with more extreme cold conditions: ie. below freezing level.

20 cu meters is equal to approximately 8 square meters for a standard room.

(square meters is calculated by dividing the cubic meter area by the height of the ceiling)

The calculation is as follows:

1 kw = 20 cu meters divide by 2,5 meters = 8 sq meters for a standard room

(Alternatively, to calculate the volume of the room in cubic meters, multiply the square meter area by the height of the ceiling)
